"Marriage agreement between John Blackwell, twp of Independence, Warren Co., NJ, 1st party; Mary Buckley, d/o George Buckley, of same place, 2nd party; Alfred Buckley, of same place, 3rd party. Whereas a marriage is to be solemnized between John Blackwell & Mary Buckley and said Mary is possessed of certain goods .... and moneys in her own right and whereas John Blackwell is possessed of certain personal property and of certain real estate, it is mutually agreed between these parties .... that the rights of each in his or her property shall not be affected by the said marriage .... (signed) John Blackwell, Mary Buckley, & Alfred Buckley. (Alfred is a brother to Mary.)
