"I direct my executor to sell the farm in 1 year after the decease of my wife either at public or private sale. Wife dec'd 12 May 1852. Sale advertised in the Sussex Register for 8 Dec 1852. Farm sold at $37.50 per acre (172 acres) to the highest bidder, Increase Stoddard. Increase Stoddard said his son, Robert C. Stoddard should be the owner. Recorded 26 Apr 1853.
