Various family trees online have Mary being a twin of Mercy, born on 16 Jan 1697/1698. These same trees, citing Colonial Families in the U.S., show Mary dying 29 Mar 1699/1700 and that it was Mercy that married Daniel Porter.

Ricker records, "Child, infant, of Daniel, d. 29 Mar 1699/1700 - Simsbury VR." No name is given. Birth records for the twins have not been found in Ricker or the Simsbury records.
