Note: referred to as "Martha Bell Reid" in some sources, perhaps re-married to a Reid? More research needed. Martha Bell Reid is correct. In 1823, Agnes Reid Alexander (Mrs Wm. Alexander) provided this information. Agnes was the daughter of Capt. Andrew Reid,(Son of Andrew Reid, Sr.) and Sarah Reid (Daughter of John Reid Sr. and Martha Nesbith). She said that Martha, a sister of her father, Cpt. Andrew Reid, married Robert Weir. A will filed on July 6, 1772, in Amherst Co., listed Martha as his wife.
