    Marion was married to Mary E. M. nee Gregg on August 3, 1864 by Rev. D. B. Campbell. He was the son of William and Drusilla (Morgan) Crumrine. Birth year is approximate.

    Marion enlisted in Company K, 5th West Virginia Cavalry in 1861 and was captured at New Creek, WV on Nov 28, 1864. He was held prisoner at Libby Prison in Richmond, VA until released on Feb 15, 1865. Marion died at Greenfield in Washington County from a disease of the lungs, the effect of starvation and harsh treatment while a prisoner.
