Letter from Margaret RENTROP MOORE in May 1996 gives the parents of Genevieve HURETTE (OURIE) as Jean Baptiste & Francoise METIVIER.

Born around 1719-1723, she was a native of Louisbourg [Ile Royale, Acadia], and died at age 77 years, in her burial record (ASM-2, 8), listed under name ORY. Her name is spelled variously HOURRY, HOUDE, HOURRAY, HENRRY, OUDY, OUVRE, OURVIE, and OURIE. Buried in Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery, Plattenville, LA.
