She was on 1765 census at Belle-Ile-en-Mer, age 64 years; there in 1772, age 70 years. She died (1784 list of drownings off the coast of Newfoundland) at St-Jean of Newfoundland in 1784, age 90 years (sic).

Her own statement on 8 Mar 1767: Marguerite DUPUIS, widow of Claude BABIN, born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish in 1702, "of" Martin DUPUIS (from France) and Perrinne THERIOT, both died at Port Royal." [She must have been referring to her farthest antecedents, parents of Michel DUPUIS her grandfather?] She married at the Mines in 1718 to Claude BABIN, son of Charles & Magdelaine RICHARD; seven children.
