Born 1689, Germain married at St. Charles des Mines on 3 Nov 1717 to Marie GRANGER; eleven children listed. He lived at River aux Canards. Germain was deported to Boston, MA. ARCHIVES OF THE STATE OF MASSACHUSETTS, vol. 23, p. 174 (French Neutrals). Contains a Statement of the Town on the expense of sustaining them from 8 Feb 1756 to 14 Aug 1756, amounting to L26.19.3. The division was apportioned according to the taxable wealth of the towns. On vol. 24, p. 3, is a list of the names and ages of those assigned to Nantucket as of Mar 1758. Included were Germin DUPEE, age 69, and his (infirm) wife Mary DUPEE, age 61. There were also nine of their children, four of them married with children. Total number in extended family was 37 persons. |
