    Mrs. Felicie Gonzales, widow of the late Joseph Gonzales, founder of Gonzales, died at 1:25 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Sanitarium following an illness of two weeks. She was a lifelong resident of Gonzales and was a member of the St. Theresa Catholic Church, where funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Edmond Gaulrapp and the Rev. Maurice Bourgeois officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. H. E. Holliday and Mrs. M. E. McKeniry [McKinley] of New Orleans, Mrs. J. W. Tanner of Rayne and Mrs. R. H. Andrews and Miss Fannye [sic] of Gonzales, one brother, Edmond Bourgeois of Shreveport, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
