    Well Known Milford Woman Dies A Few Days After A Fall
    Mrs. W. A. Harris fell, Saturday night a week ago, breaking one of the thigh bones, near her hip - She died of Pneumonia, which quickly developed, Friday evening - Born Seventy-Eight years ago, near Harrisonville - Had lived East of Milford for Fifty-Eight years.

    Mrs. W. A. Harris died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ola Rector, at Milford, Friday evening. Her death was the result of a fall that occurred the Saturday evening before her death. She and Mr. Harris had been making their home with their son, Mr. Earl Harris. Mrs. Harris had gone to visit for awhile with her daughter, Mrs. Ola Rector. She got up in the night and fell heavily to the floor. It was found that she had broken one of the thigh bones, close to the hip joint. Nothing could be done, because of her age, towards reducing the fracture. As a result of the shock and the fact she had to lie constantly on her back, she soon contracted pneumonia. This caused her death, Friday evening. The body was taken to the Beeny Mortuary, to be prepared for burial. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm, Sunday afternoon, at Round Prairie, with internment in Round Prairie Cemetery. Mrs. Harris' maiden name was Margaret Louise Hendricks.

    She was born near Harrisonville, June 27, 1859, hence she had passed her 78th birthday. She was in fair health before the accident that caused her death. In 1879 her parents moved to Barton County, and settled in Northwest Barton. In 1883 she and W. A. Harris were married. She leaves her husband, three sons and one daughter. They are: Claude Harris, Earl Harris and Mrs. Ola Rector all of Milford, and Will Harris of Carthage.
