WATFORD GUIDE ADVOCATE 2 MAY 1919 Mrs. George Annett passed away on Wednesday last at the home of her son-in-law, William Dolbear in her 79th year. The funeral will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. from lot 17 Con. 10 for Alvinston Cemetery. WATFORD GUIDE ADVOCATE 19 MAY 1919 DEATH OF MRS. GEORGE ANNETT [excerpt] Mrs. George Annett, a resident of Brooke and Watford for the past 54 years, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 30th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William R. Dolbear, Con. 10 - Brooke. She was married to the late Mr. Annett in 1864 - her maiden name being Margaret Brownlee. She was born in Euphemia Twp. Her husband predeceased her May 2nd, 1905, he also dying very suddenly. From the union eight children were born, one of whom a boy died in infancy. The surviving children are: Walter, William and Wellington of Brooke, Mrs. Calvin Dolbear, Mrs. R. King, Mrs. Wm. Dolbear of Brooke and Mrs. John Maw, Wyoming. One sister also survives - namely Mrs. Dugald Monroe of Brooke. The funeral was held on Friday afternoon to the Alvinston Cemetery and was largely attended. |
