PETROLIA PAPER 5 MAY 1905 [excerpt] GEORGE ANNETT Death came with terrible suddeness to George Annett of St. Clair street on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Annett if he had lived until Thursday of this week would have been 68 years of age. He was born in Euphemia Township in 1837, but for the past 40 years had resided in Brooke. The deceased leaves a widow and family of three sons; Walter, William and Wellington of Brooke and three daughters, Mrs. C.J. Dolbear, Mrs. William Roland King of Brooke and Bertha at home. James Annett of Brooke, Isaac of Detroit and John of Euphemia are brothers and Mrs. William Dolbear of Brooks and Mrs. Thomas Walker of Brantford, sisters. The funeral took place to Mt. Carmel Cemetery on Thursday afternoon and was largely attended. The service was conducted by the Rev. S.W. Muxworthy, pastor of the Methodist Church.
