    19. Margaret, b. abt. 1685

"19. Margaret Abell, born about 1685 in Norwich, Conn.; died April 18, 1752; married Capt. Richard Douglas, December 7, 1704, … son of Dea. William and Abiah (Hough) Douglas." … Captain Douglas was buried in the old cemetery in New London, near the center of the cemetery; no stone shown for Margaret, who died 17 years after, and may have been buried in the second oldest cemetery.

Margaret (Abell) Douglas, widow of New London, and Hannah Abell of Norwich, convey their rights in 40 acres of land April 10, 1735, to their honorable grandfather John Post of Norwich deceased; later Joshua Abell buys the rights to the same land from Caleb Abell and Zachariah and Joanna Loomis."
