Marcellus Conley lived in a 2-story home shared by his brother, Thornton, located near Campground. He, in later years, married a bride from Philadelphia, that was ordered from the Sears catalog. He resided with his wife in half of the 8-room dwelling. This was built below the log home of his father, John Carroll Conley, Jr. The foundation of both homes still exist; however, the home was later destroyed, possibly by arson. (Carnie Williams). Helen Castle remembers visiting this home as a little girl. Marcellus and Frances lived in the left side of the home nearer the road. Lloyd and Evelyn Metheny, Helen's aunt and uncle, later lived in the home.
