Halabuk, 303 Tabbs Lane, Newport News, VA, 23602 - This record shows Teresa was baptised on 30 March, 1856, in San Blas, Coamo, Puerto Rico by Father Juan Antonio Perez. Parents are shown as Marcos Bernier and Carmen Giraud. Teresa's birth date is shown to be 27 February, 1856. Paternal grand parents are shown as Mauricio Bernier and Jimona Salas. Maternal grand parents are shown as Antonio Giraud and Maria Serafina Bernier. God parents are recorded as being Juan Garay and Eulalia Bernier.

!BAPTISM_CONFIRMATION: The baptism and confirmation ordinances were performed for Manuel Mauricio by proxies in the Washington D.C. Temple on 19 March, 2005 during a Denbigh Ward, Newport News Stake, youth baptism excursion.

!NOTE: Manuel Mauricio Bernier Coleche arrived in Puerto Rico in Patillas about 1804. Later he moved to Cayey, then to Aibonito, and then to Coamo. He also was a merchant in Guayama.
