    Magdalena was living in Dwight, Richland County, North Dakota.  Mathias and Magdalena applied for their marriage license on November 20, 1893.  Her step-father, John Meyer gave his permission for her to marry.  Magdalena was only seventeen years old and her parents were already dead.  Her father died September 23, 1879 in Calamet, Fond de Lac County, Wisconsin.It seems that her mother, Katherine married John Meyer sometime after that. Then Katherine died, and John took care of her and her sister Anna.
