Lydia Purcell was born 21 May 1855 in Muscatine, Muscatine Cty., Iowa . She was married on 1 November 1876 at Muscatine, Muscatine Cty., Iowa to Thomas Middleton. He was born 6 February 1853 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the son of Benjamin Middleton and either his first wife, Mary Magdalene Hoover or his second wife, Juliette Bonner. Lydia died 10 February 1909 in Muscatine, Muscatine Cty., Iowa, and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine, Muscatine Cty., Iowa. Thomas married (2) Hattie Scott (Fahey) on 26 October 1910 in Muscatine. Thomas died 23 June 1929 in Muscatine, Muscatine Cty., Iowa, and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine, Muscatine Cty., Iowa. Issue by first wife, Lydia Purcell.Inherited research from Ruth Ellen Middleton Hintz / Descendants of Alfred Purcell by Keith M. Street. (Never published, only mailed his research papers.
