Personal History

Lydia P. Balcom, daughter of Reuben Balcom and Elizabeth Hartwell, was born 26 June 1820 (from age at death), in Concord, Massachusetts.[1] She died 29 November 1903, in Shirley, of contributing organic heart disease.[1]

Intention of marriage was published 26 April 1870, in Tewksbury, for Franklin B. Chapman, farmer, son of John and Esther Chapman, to be married for the second time, and Lydia P. (Balcom) Sherman, daughter of Rubin and Elizabeth Balcom, to be married for the third time. They were married 28 April 1870, in Tewksbury, by H. P. Leonard of Westport, Massachusetts.
