Luther Seaver served in the Massachusetts Line during the Revolutionary War.

His first wife might have died, and he may have married, secondly, Priscilla Phillips before 1793, assuming that all of the children mentioned in the Pension application were Priscilla's children.

He applied for a Revolutionary War Pension on 31 March 1818 in New York City. In 1820, he was age 63 with a wife, Priscilla, aged 49, with a daughter, Sarah aged 27, at home. The records refer to other children - Nathaniel Dean Seaver (aged 19) who lives away from home, a daughter Catherine, the wife of Henry Dodd, and Elizabeth, the wife of Henry Knox (Revolutionary War Pension Files, #S43117).
