Lurena M. Taylor (father was Amos Taylor). Vernon married Lurena (often misread as "Aurena") TAYLOR, who was born in Canada. She later married Dwight STRICKLAND, and is later referred to as "Widow Strickland" in the county history. Mr. STRICKLAND, however, did not live long after their marriage. She is found living with her daughter, Charlotte "Lottie", and son-in-law Frank Eugene NORTH in the 1870 Census in Holt, Ingham, Michigan.
