  4.   Indentured labor were often youths; the minimum age for those on the Van Renssalear Manor was 15. A male had to be 25 years old to be married without parental consent. Since the parents of Laurens were in the Old World and could not give consent, it would seem that his birth year would be between 1641 and 1644.
