Marriage record notes that Cornelis was "b. in Col. R". That "b" could also mean "banns", meaning that their intended marriage was announced in church previous to the marriage. This interpretation is more likely than "born".
Holland Society of New York, in Records of the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany, New York, 1683-1809, Part 2, 1700-1724, page 8, 1978.
The record reads "Reg. Ma. Feb. 9 Cornelis Laurentse Van Wurmerik, y. m., b. Col. R., and Annatje Van Petten, wid. of Claas Sieverse".
There were two dates floated for his birth (1672, 1680) neither of which had any explanation for suggesting why that particular year was offered, nor were any sources cited. Likewise for his siblings.
