1932 - Obituary in the Advocate, Burnie, on 11 Jun: OBITUARY. Mrs. Chas. T. Saunders. The death occurred at Queenstown on Thursday of Lillian Maud Saunders, wife of Mr. Charles T. Saunders, after a long illness. Mrs. Saunders was the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Newman, of Branxholm, and was well known on the East Coast, having had a large circle of friends at St. Helens and Derby. She was also well-known at Devonport, where Mr. Saunders was manager of the Majestic Theatre for two years, and later carried on a business. Three months ago Mr. and Mrs. Saunders went to reside in Queenstown, where Mr. Saunders is connected with the Olympia Theatre. Mrs. Saunders had been in failing health for some years, but the end was unexpected. She leaves one daughter, Lynette, aged 8. The funeral will take place to-day, leaving the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Newton [sic], Branxholm, at 3 p.m.

1932 - Funeral Notices in the Examiner, Launceston, on 11 June: SAUNDERS.- The funeral of the late Mrs. Lillian Maude Saunders is appointed to leave her parents' residence, Mr. and Mrs. W. Newman, Branxholm, this day (Saturday, 11th June), at 3 o'clock, for interment in the Branxholm Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend.-ARMITAGE AND ARMITAGE, Funeral Directors, 116 St. John-street, Launceston. SAUNDERS. - Members of Lodge Branxholm, No. 190, are requested to attend the funeral of the late Mrs. C. T.
