Is probably the same person as Lambertus.

Lewis DeWees 

Lewis DeWees in the DeWees Family History compiled by Martha DeWees Wilkinson, and published by Tom DeWees and Silas Redd  indicates that Lewis had two brothers and a sister who were Cornelius, William and Wilhelmina. This would make him the son of Garrett Hendricks DeWees as that genealogy indicates. There is however, no written proof that this is true (i.e. birth certificates, death certificates, wills, deeds etc.)

Basically no one knows who his father was, although if one uses the patronym (mothers last name) Lieuwes and converts it to Lewis for a first name for one of Garrett Hendric DeWees's children, then Lewis makes sense.
