Shelby Co Illinois Levi Casey settled on Robinson's creek in March, 1824. He was a native of South Carolina. When he settled here, he had family of six children; three of the six now live in Shelbyville -- John Casey and Elizabeth, now Mrs. Tolly; Nancy, now Mrs. Howse. Mr. Casey improved a farm on which he first settled where he lived until his death in 1855. He was twice married,and had four children born in Shelby county.
