(SFT) 1800 Virginia Tax List shows Leonard living in Berkeley Co., Virginia, Morgan District, with 4 white tithables, 6 slaves, age 12-16, 1 horse. (Virginians in 1800: Counties of W. Va., Steven A. Bridges, 1987) 1810 U.S. Census shows Leonard Thomas living in Jefferson Co., Virginia. Included in household are three males age 16-26, one 26-45, and one older than 45. Also one female age 10-16, one age 16-26, and one older than 45. Also noted are six slaves. (SFT) "Born in Maryland and moved from there to Virginia where he lived until his death.
