LEONARD MILLER
Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 25, 1984, for Leonard E. Miller, 67, of Fort Ripley, formerly of Long Prairie, at St. Mathias Church, with Fr. Henry Miller officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Long Prairie.
Pallbearers were his nephews, Gerald, Roger, Jack and Robert Becker, and Loren and Wallace Miller.
Mr. Miller died Friday, Sept. 21, 1984, at his home.
He was born Nov. 6, 1916, in Elmore to Julius and Paulina Miller. He married Bernice Bruder Oct. 7, 1943, in Long Prairie. They farmed in the Long Prairie area until his retirement in 1973 when they moved to Fort Ripley. He was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Long Prairie.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice; two sons, David of Brainerd and Vernon of Cheyenne, Wyo.; three daughters, Diane Qureshi of Monroe, Wisc., Sandra Palmquist of St. Peter and Linda Miller of Tacoma, Wash.; two sisters, Evelyn Bruder of Long Prairie and Marilyn Jensen of St. Louis Park; one brother, Melvin of Long Prairie; and 13 grandchildren.
