[It appears his son Thomas possibly born in England was eldest son based on the order of his children were named in his will. John was recorded born 1 Oct 1654 in Boston thus Thomas was born by 1653. Assuming the mother was 21 [which was the standard age of marriage] when the first child Thomas was born she would have been born by 1632.

  7. Leah Baker is named in her father's will. Her birth so long before the next child hints she may have another mother, an earlier unknown wife.
