Died (Belle-Ile-en-Mer Declaration) between 1700 & 1703. Some notes of P. GALLANT state: It is possible that the Plymouth where Laurent was declared to be born was in New England instead. Laurent GRANGER, he was a seaman ("matelot"), born in 1637, originally from Plymouth, England. Lawrence [Laurent on p. 51] GRANGER was born in 1637 in Plymouth, England; married around 1659 [1666 on p. 51] at Port Royal to Marie LANDRY, daughter of Rene' & Perrine BOURG. [17]; Santa Cruz Genealogical Society has roll of Acadian census from 1671-1752. Laurens GRANGER, age 46 years [sic], living with wife Marie LANDRY, age 36, and 7 seven children, ages 18 to 2. They have 1 gun, 3 arpents worked land, 8 cattle, 6 sheep and 6 hogs. !CENSUS: 1693, Port Royal, Acadia, age 50 [so born 1643], name spelled Laurens GRANGE'. Living with wife, 43, and 5 of their children, ages 21 to 5. They have 15 cattle, 20 sheep, 12 pigs, on 12 arpents of land, with 2 guns. CENSUS: 1698, Port Royal, Acadia. Marie LANDRY, widow [sic].
