Statement by Simon Pierre DAIGRE: Rene' GRANGER, issue of Laurent, married Marguerite THERIOT, daughter of Bonaventure & Jeanne BOUDROT. He died at Riviere aux Canards in Nov 1745 [sic]. !BIRTH-RESIDENCES-MARRIAGE-CHILDREN-BURIAL: Bona Arsenault, HISTOIRE ET GENEALOGIE DES ACADIENS; 1600-1800; Ottawa, Editions Lemeac, 1978, vols. 2-6; p. 583 (Port Royal); own copy. Settled at Grand Pré. On p. 1175 (Grand Pré): Rene' GRANGER, born 1676, son of Laurent & Marie LANDRY, married around 1695 to Marguerite THE'RIAU, daughter of Bonaventure & Jeanne BOUDROT; nine children. He was buried at St. Joseph of Riviere-aux-Canard in 1740. !MARRIAGE-CHILDREN: Bergeron, p. 51. Rene' married around 1702 to Marguerite TERRIOT at Port Royal. Three children are listed. !CENSUS: 1678, Port Royal, Acadia, age 2 years. !CENSUS: 1686, Port Royal, Acadia, age 10 years. !CENSUS: 1693, Port Royal, Acadia, age 18 years. !CENSUS: 1698, age 23 years. !CENSUS: 1700, age 28 years (sic). !CENSUS: 1701, age 26 years. !CENSUS: 1707, two boys, three girls under 12, with 19 horned animals, 17 sheep, 8 hogs, on 4 acres, with 1 gun. !PARENTS-MARRIAGE-CHILDREN-LAND-CENSUS-DEATH: "The Acadians and Belle Ile en Mer," on BRETAGNE GENEALOGY; webpage at <http:www.bretagne.com/english/doc/histoire/genealog/acadiens.htm>, seen in May 1999. On a 1710 map the farm of Rene' GRANGER can be found on the other side of the river, facing the Port-Royal fort.
