I have the birth certificate of Laura Elizabeth Davies born Carnarvon 29 Oct 1838. Her father, Charles James Davies was living at Garnon Street, Carnarvon at the time, his occupation is listed as Attorney's Clerk. Her mothers name was Anne Davies nee: Williams. I believe they were married 23 Dec 1835, Llanbeblig, Caernarvon, Wales She was christened in Llanbeblig on 21 Nov 1838. It is possible that her father Charles died in 1844.
