At her home near Independence, N. Y., Jan. 25, 1890, of heart disease, Mrs. Laura Crandall, aged 77 years, and 3 months.
She was converted in early life and became a constituent member of the Independence Seventh-day Baptist Church. It was remarked of her that she was never known to be lukewarm in the Master's service. A strong pillar in the church, always at her post of duty, giving prayers and testimonies of remarkable power and earnestness, generous in giving for the Redeemer's cause, a strong sympathizer and supporter of missions, she will be greatly missed by the church, and all who knew her only to love her. She was deeply interested in young people.
Her husband, Nelson R. Crandall, died one year ago. She leaves three sons and two daughters, five sisters and one brother, and a large circle of grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were conducted by the pastor, preaching from Daniel 12: 3. Truly a mother in Israel has gone to her blessed reward. H. D. C.
