Buried in the Lanty Ford Cemetery on his farm recently known as the Stephen Mason farm {2002}. The cemetery is situated on top of the ridge on the farm he owned in Taylor County. To the west (towards Stephen Mason's home) is the Tygart Valley River; to the east was Lanty Ford's home. In the papers of Guy Tetrick, it is stated that Lanty Ford taught school in his younger years and later learned the trade of a shoemaker. In addition, he farmed the approximately 400 acres on which he and his wife and his parents are buried.
