Birth recorded in State Archives Arad, Register 41, No. 26. Baptized by Priest Joszef Bedrich.

Konrad was a happy and friendly man who died quite young. He and Joseph looked a great deal alike. He and Joseph took on the responsibility of two of their nieces (Mary and Susan) by bringing them from Hungary to Rochester. In actuality, Susan was the daughter of Konrad's cousin, Katalin (daughter of Konrad and Suzanna Pinczés); Konrad was the son of Heinrich and Magdolna Pinczés. Susan, for all intents and purposes, was considered the daughter of Konrad and his wife as she was only six years old when her mother died. When she married Charles Mottler, Konrad and his wife Rose were accorded the honor reserved for parents of the bride. The family story was that they had adopted Sue, but that seems unlikely at that time. On the Petition for Naturalization for Konrad, Sue is listed as his daughter.

His naturalization paper tells us that he was residing at 114 Scrantom Street in Rochester.

He came to America on the Kronprinz Wilhelm leaving out of Bremen, Germany. It is interesting to note that he left from the same port as his younger half brother, Joseph, in 1913. Konrad and his family left April 18, 1914 and arrived in New York May 6, 1914.

On the 1930 census, Conrad is living at 370 Driving Park and owns the home valued at $6000. Living with him are his wife, son, and daughter. Also living there is his niece, Susanna Schilling, who later married Conrad, Jr.
