Kenneth Dell Plants,of Tulsa, Okla., died Sept. 16, 2002, in Tulsa. He was born in Mason County, Oct. 15 1921, and was a resident of Morgantown for more than 35 years. He was a retired chemical engineer, with the U.S. Bureau of Mines (DOE), and known for work in process economics. He was a veteran of World War II, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge, receiving the highest decoration from the Belgian government for bravery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lester Plants. He is survived by children, Frances Plants Whitehurst, of Tulsa; Kenneth B. Plants, USAF/Guam, and Edward S. Plants, Tulsa; four grandchildren,one stepgrandchild; a brother, Duane Plants, Winfield; and two nieces, one nephew. Services were held at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home in Tulsa. |
