Owned Perry Excavating and Hidden Valley campground in Sturgis, MI. Also, had a home on Okeechobee Lake in Florida. Moved to Klinger Lake in 1960 from place on Omena Lake and the address was 66086 Knollwood, Sturgis, MI. They possibly still own a corner lot on Omena Lake but it is too swampy to build on. Carl Murphy was a friend of Ken's in Sturgis. Grandpa didn't like apple butter or cottage cheese. He had a lot of apple butter sandwiches in shcool, there wasn't much else he didn't like to eat. He used to tell Ruby that is was okay that it wasn't close to his heart when he would cut his finger or something and she wanted to bandage it.
