Knight and he deserted my father and my uncle when my father was only 8 years old. My father and uncle never knew what happened to there father and because he left them in 1908. I have not been able to find what happened to. My fathers mother died in 1906 so that is why his father had sole custody of them and 2 years after the death of thier mother thier father just walked off and left them. They were more or less just put on a work farm. He was a heavy drinker also

I have no idea because they did live in Arora. I even went and have pictures of the house they were living in, Justin did work for the railroad so may be he got transfered to Streater. I found a newspaper article telling of him abandening my father and uncle this may also be why he said he was from Kentucky because there was a warrant out for his arrest for deserting the children. Justins farther Jerome died in 1908 and he had a will and it was probated and it states in the probate that son Justin was not around and could not be found.
