I, Joshua Wills of Tolland, in the County of Hartford, do make this my last will and testament: My estate I give, demise and dispose of in the following manner: First, my will is that all those debts that I do owe to any person or persons shall be well and truly paid within a convenient time. Nextly, I having given unto my eldest son Joshua Wills his portion already by deed of gift, I come to my second son Jonathan Wills, to whom I give 10 shillings money. I give to my son Lamson Wills 10 shillings money. I give to my daughter Elizabeth Allyn 20 shillings money. My will is that my beloved wife Mercy shall have the use and benefit of all the rest of my estate so long as she shall continue to remain my widow, and 1-2 of the same during her life. Also, I give to my wife 1-3 part of my moveable estate forever, whom I make sole executrix. Further, I impower her, in case she want or need be, to sell such a part of my land as shall be necessary for the payment of my debts or legacies or bringing up my children. And all the rest of my estate I give to be equally divided amongst my 4 daughters which I had by my last wife Mercy, viz., Martha Wills, Zerviah Wills, Azuba Wills and Hannah Wills.
