The print in the image of this obituary is very blurry, leaving at least one word open to interpretation.
The death of Mr. Joseph Temple White -- which took place very suddenly at his residence, Stanley Bay, yesterday -- came as a great shock to his many friends. Mr. White had for some years been traveller foe Messrs. J. Henderson and Co., of Mel(rose.) He was a member of the local Rechabite Lodge in Davenport, and it wwas his boast till within the last week or two that he had never had a severe illness. He came from England wiht his family in the 'eighties, and settled in Taranaki. Two of his sons have servered long periods at the war, and one was recently decorated. He has a brother, a Methodist minister, at Kelburn, Wellington, and he is survived by a widow and grown-up family.

Temple White, the Wellington organist, occurred at Stanley Building (sic), Auckland, last Thursday. Deceased, who arrived in New Zealand in the '80's, lived in Taranki before going to Auckland.
