There was found in the Bible of his grandson, Nathaniel White, a certificate of administration granted by John Winthrop, Esq., judge of probate in county of Middlesex, within the province of Massachusetts Bay, in New England, on the 28th day of October, Anno Domini 1777, to Joseph White, on the estate of Joseph White, late of Lexington. His widow Mary d. Oct. 20, 1780.
