[5] Joseph Wheatley s/o John [1] was born circa 1694 and married
Martha ________. He wrote his Will 10/15/1739. (Perogative court
(Wills) 22:140). It was probated 1/21/1739 and the estate was
administered by his widow on 3/17/1739 (Colonial Settlers St.
Clement's Bay : P 265). It is obvious that at least one of these
dates has to be in error. Joseph could not have written the will in
October of 1739 when it was probated (meaning that he was dead) in January
of that same year 10 months previous. Donnelly cites (24:545) as the
reference. This should obviously be checked. The couple had two
children [23] James Wheatley and [24] Joseph Wheatley.
