Will of Joseph Titus

In the name of God Amen, I Joseph Titus of Howard County, and State of Missouri being of sound disposing mind but old and inform and know that according to nature I must soon die do make and publish this as and for my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and codicells by me heretofore made.
First it is my will and desire that my boddy after my death be interred in a decent and becoming manner and that all my just debts be paid by my Executors hereinafter named. Secondly it is also my will and desire that my wife Elizabeth Titus have use and enjoy the possession of all my Estate real and personal (or so much thereof as she may wish) during her life for her to have the proffits arising from said estate for the time aforesaid or so much thereof as she may wish. That if my said wife should not want to use all of my estate hereby bequeathed to her as above that in that case it is my will and desire that my executors to receive from her and take charge of such property as she may not want and divided the same equally amongst my children as hereinafter named at the death of my wife to take charge of all the estate both real and personal which may at that time be undivided and for them to make any equal division of the same amongst all my children by sale or otherwise.
I do hereby give and bequeath to my son John M. Titus one equal share of all my estate real and personal which may remain and be in existence at the death of my wife except the sum of seventy dollars which is to be deducted out of the part of my estate he having received that amount from me.
I do hereby give and bequeath to my son Ebenezer Titus one equal share or part of all my estate real and personal which may remain and be in existance at the death of my wife at which time a division of my estate is to take place amongst my children.
I do hereby give and bequeath to my son William Titus one equal share or part of my estate real and personal at the death of my wife.
I do hereby give and bequeath to my daughter Rachel Enyard one equal share or part of all my estate real and personal at the death of my wife.
I do hereby give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Tuder one equal share or part of all my estate real and personal at the death of my wife.
I do hereby give and bequeath to the children of my daughter Jarusha Campbell deceased one sixth part of all my estate real and personal at the death of my wife which will be the amount that their mother would have been entitled to out of my estate had she lived.
I do hereby will and direct that my executors immediately after my death pay all of my just debts as above directed and in case my wife should not use all of my estate for she to make division of such as she may not want amongst my children and grand children in the manner above directed and I further will and direct that at the death of my wife a division of all my estate be then made by my executors giving to each child his equal part and my grandchildren that is the children of Jarusha Campbell their Mothers part which will be one sixth. But my son John M. Titus is not to receive an equal share by seventy dollars and in the division that amount is to be deducted from his share and in case a just and far division of the property cannot be satisfactorily made my executors is to make a sale of the property and then divide the proceeds as above directed.
I do hereby appoint my son Ebenezer Titus and my son in law Thomas Tuder executors of this my last will and testament.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my name and affixed my seal this fourteenth day of August Eighteen hundred and twenty eight.
