First one in Muncie. Connected to Mary Eliza through Census and Obituary. Father and mother both born in what is described as both VA and WV. WV seceded in 1863, so could be portion that changed, such as Monroe where the marraige license was.. Was a Carpenter. Was a Rebel Soldier.

There is civil war record for a Joseph P Terry born in Virginia in 1836 for the rebel army, name next to an Augustus, which may be his brother if I have the right dad. But it's December 1863 and he is listed as unmarried, and our Joseph got married in 1860. The Civil War Joseph P how was mia for a while was conscriptedi in Giles, Virginia, which is next to Monroe.

1860- Married per 1900 Census. Matching marriage record found, with Leah as mother. Known to be the right marraige certificate, because Nancy Ferguson is listed with parents named Foster. March Birthday is known from 1900 census also, making the March 29 birthday on the Marriage Certificate correct

1874 Mentioned in Henry County directory as being a farmer from VA, born in 1836, having a farm 1.5 NW of Sulpher Springs, settled in Henry County in 1870.
