Joseph Seaver of Framingham and others belonging to Capt. Drury's company signed a petition dated 5 June 1775 at Camp Cambridge to General Ward, stating that they had enlisted to serve in Col. Nixon's regiment but had been shifted to Col. Gardner's regiment, and requesting that they might be permitted to continue in Col. Nixon's regiment. He was also a Private in Capt. Thomas Drury's (5th) company, Col. John Nixon's regiment in a company return dated Winter Hill, 30 September 1775. Joseph Seaver and others signed a receipt given to Lieut. Samuel Sawyer, dated Lancaster 11 March 1776, for wages for service from 18 December 1775 to 17 January 1776 in Capt. White's company. The daughter of Joseph Seaver applied for a Revolutionary War Pension on 2 December 1845 at Sterling, Massachusetts. The petition stated that Joseph Seaver served in the Massachusetts line, that he married Abigail Sawyer on 7 July 1772 at Lancaster Massachusetts, and died 14 November 1816, aged 52. She stated that her mother died at Sterling Massachusetts on 17 November 1844, leaving children: James and Sally Sever, Eunice Raymond, Joseph Sever, Abigail Taylor and Betsey Parker (Revolutionary War Pension File Number R9351).
