Notes for JOSEPH MARTIN ROBINSON: Joseph was a farmer in the Miller, Nebraska area. After three years in Iowa, he moved his family to Kansas. Joseph came with his parents to Buffalo County from Kansas. 

During the four years they lived in Kansas, he was granted a Territorial Right for a homestead, under the Homestead Act, in Buffalo County where they arrived in 1882.  Their homestead was located in the Sartoria area beyond Cool's Bridge.  They built a sod house.

When the railroad failed to complete the track through Sartoria, most of the townspeople moved to Miller, Buffalo County, Nebraska. The family moved to Miller, Nebraska about 1901.

In his later years, he married Pauline Rohde. He and Pauline eventually moved to the city of Kearney, Buffalo County, Nebraska, where they lived out their days.
