Tradition asserts that another brother by the name of Joseph, emigrated to this country at a later period, and settle at the same place. A Joseph Ricker is found at Somersworth as early as 1729. He was probably the brother referred to.
[There have been assertions that Maturin and Joseph, brothers, traded land at one point, which would indicate that Joseph was a brother, but not the Joseph referred to in 1729. The 1729 Joseph is more likely Maturin's son.]
