She died May 13, 1723, and he married second, April 7, 1726, widow Elizabeth Lewis, daughter of Captain John and Elizabeth (Cornwall) Hall [John and Frances (Allen) Hall; identity proven by her father's probate record], of Middletown. He lived in Middletown (Westfield). Was commissioned captain of militia 1728.
