    "Joseph3 Buckland, Sen. of Swansea; died in Rehoboth, March 26, 1718, (buried March 28). He came to America with his parents and lived with them at Hingham, Mass., from 1634 or 1635, until about 1655, when the family removed to Rehoboth. On Sept. 1, 1659, when Joseph was 'about to be married,' as the record states, his father deeded to him one-third of all his possessions, and also agreed that at his death and that of his wife, Joseph should have enough more to make up one-half. … At his death in 1718, he was buried in Rehoboth and his tombstone states that he was '84 years, 9 mo., 3 days' old."
