- Family notes.
From Betty Barber Lusk, May 28, 2006: "When I was visiting the East Hill Cemetery (between Wardsboro and Newfane) (the Barber cemetery where Thomas Sr. and Jr. and wives are), I stopped on my way back to Newfane, on a little one lane road when I spotted a little cemetery near two old two-story white farmhouses, nicely kept. I hopped over the low stone wall and was standing there looking at headstones, wondering what family was buried there, when I looked down at the grave I was standing on - to see Jonathan Hall's headstone!! It was Polly Brooks Hall's brother, not her father. I still do not know where he [the father] was buried, nor do I know what made me stop there, as it was getting late and I had quite a way to go."
Centennial Proceedings and Other Historical Facts and Incidents Relating to Newfane, VT, p. 57: "Olive [Kenney; dau of Deacon Moses Kenney and Azubah Parmenter], wife of Jonathan Hall, was born April 25, 1787. She is now living, and the oldest person in Newfane who was a native of the town."
