Fugate, Jonathan, b. 1/25/1758, Shenandoah County, Virginia; entered service 1780 Roanoke County, Virginia above mouth of Dan River; moved to Henry County, Virginia & entered service there; moved to Washington County, Virginia where entered service 1791 against Indians; moved to Perry County, Kentucky. Applied for Pension 1846 Breathitt County, Kentucky & Pension Application rejected; still living 1857; Marriage Bond in file between John Fugat & Eleanor daughter of Ezekiel Morgan *, signed by Evan Morgan, Montgomery County, Virginia, 11/8/1785. F-R3825, R1032.
  • Note : according to several Familyseaarch submissions, the John Fugate that married Eleanor Morgan was a son of Josiah Fugate.
